I meant to update about this sooner, but didn't get around to it 'til now. Anyway, I went on Trek with my ward(church ward, in case that wasn't clear). The last time they had done it I was 13 and not old enough to go(it's for youth ages 14-17, generally). They waited five years to do it again, so this time I was technically too old. But this happened to enough people that the 18 year olds were allowed to go.
In case you don't know what Trek is, I'll explain it. It's something that Mormons do in honor of the pioneers that crossed the plains, yadda yadda. Most specifically, the handcart companies. My ward went to Martin's Cove, which we consider a special place(or something like that). Brief history, the Martin and Willie handcart companies got caught in an early winter and a bunch of the people died. Martin's cove is an important place in that history. We saw where the rescue party came to help the Martin company, walked where they walked, all that fun jazz. We also got to go to Rocky Ridge. Which is neat because only a few trek groups are allowed to go on it a year (due to trail maintenance. The condition of the path decline over some years so they had to start regulating it). Anyway, I walked pushing/pulling a handcart with my Trek family for about 26ish miles. It's unclear to me how much we actually walked. I have an approximation though.
People keep asking my how it was. Normally I would say it was fun. But I specifically wrote in my journal that I was not having fun. It was a bit of a struggle for me. My hip decided to hurt whenever I walked, and since Trek is all about walking and walking and walking... not fantastic. I could barely walk around camp. But, anyway, I do not regret going. It was a great experience, even if I didn't exactly have fun. If someone asked me if I wanted to do it again in the future, I would say no. I don't really want to do it again. XD
When I got home, I had never been happier to have a shower. I was on Trek for three nights, and that's a long time to go without a shower. You just feel gross. And I got sunburns to nurse. Only on my face and neck though. Pretty much everywhere else was covered the majority of the time(well, my hands tanned a little bit, while my arms did not. But it's not too noticeable, thank goodness).
Moving on, I did a little bit of job searching with taichikitty. Because I need a job. I need to spend some time getting a food handler's permit, but have a stunning lack of time the past couple of days. Then turn in some job applications for Chelsea and myself.
School is going to be starting up soon enough. First year of college... yay. I'm nervous. Anyway, free time might be a little crunched for me. We'll see how everything works out, I guess. Hopefully well.
Next, the annual family camp out. Or, as my dad called it, the yearly family fight. He likes to call it that, but it's really not so bad. The people who usually cause the 'family fight' didn't come(my aunt and uncle, btw. Because they're currently angry with my grandpa. Long story short, they were living in a house my grandparents were renting out to them, and they didn't pay the rent, so my grandpa kicked them out. And now they're mad. They do that. Don't pay rent then get upset when people kick them out. Well, mostly my uncle. Geeze, dude, stop mooching and grow up.)
Anyway, it was okay. Other one of my uncles almost went off about the boy scouts program. My dad thinks the church should stop using it, while my uncle supports it(apparently it's his entire life, according to me dad. Sounds like an exaggeration, but whatever).
That's all I got for now.

Please help my disabled uncle *go fund me*
My uncle had a stroke a couple months ago and is now disabled. He's only 49. Applying for any government financial assistance takes a long time. But bills still need to be paid in the meantime, which he cannot do on his own now. There's been a lot of other issues leading up to this including multiple deaths in our family, and my grandma had a stroke literally four days before he had his. So funds in general are stretched pretty thin already and insurance isn't helping anymore. We're doing what we can but between caring for him and my grandma, everyone is feeling the stress. So we would really appreciate any help. https://gofund.me/b115c54c
Star Wars the Clone Wars Watchlist I've made
So Clone Wars is one of my favorite shows. But there are some episodes that make me wonder why. I've found lists of essential episodes to watch(many with some variations), but rarely why we should or shouldn't watch them. So I put together a complete list of what episodes are worth watching vs skipping and why. Of course, it's still somewhat subjective, but I tried to keep it as neutral as I could(by basing it off plot relevancy). Y'all are welcome to check it out. And if you think I'm wrong or have suggestions, feel free to message me about it! I'll probably be constantly going back and editing it for a while. Changing my mind and all that, ya know? THIS IS THE GOOGLE DOC It's in chronological order, with links to the episodes on Disney+, which I got from star wars dot com. Arcs/connected episodes are grouped together, and you can filter categories of episodes out based on various criteria. It's clunky, and might be easier if you skip the filter feature, but it's what I could do and
Update on my Uncle
So he made it through the night, but his condition was still really bad. His family decided to take him off life support and he passed away about an hour later. Part of what makes this so hard is that it was completely unexpected. If he'd been sick or something, there would have been some time to come to terms with it beforehand. It's so weird to think that someone can be perfectly fine one moment, and not the next. Gets me into some sort of existential crisis or something. Long story short, he worked building wood staircases(made some really great stuff), and fell off one headfirst a couple stories onto concrete. He was life flighted to the hospital and stabilized in surgery. But the fall damaged his neck, which cut off blood supply to his brain. My uncle was a good, kind, and hardworking man. He was about 58, I believe, and could have easily had at least 20 more years in him. He left behind a wife, 8 kids, grandkids(I think 6 is the current number), siblings, and friends. He
Tada! One of those tag journal things.
Tagged by Chellarrie (https://www.deviantart.com/chellarrie)
The rules for this tag are pretty simple:
1. Create a new journal entry with the rules and the name of the person who tagged you at the top.
2. Answer the 13 questions asked to you
3. Invent 13 questions of your own
4. Tag 13 other deviants (Yeah, sorry, I'm not. Can't think of that many people to tag. I don't have much of a social circle ^^;)
5. You can't say you don't do tags (You can't tell me what to do)
6. Tag-backs are allowed
7. You must make a journal. No comments. Unless you're commenting about the actual entry.
8. Be creative with the Title. No "I got tagged" things. (I'm not creative)

Oh man, I feel so sorry for you.
A Trek would be a horrible thing to happen to me. I'd never last a whole night.
